COACHING SKILLS
This programme aims to improve the key management skill of coaching. By developing coaching skills, managers will have the opportunity to empower their staff to take the necessary decisions required to enhance the day-to-day workings of the organisation and to offer a continually improving service to it’s clients and customers.
By the end of the course, managers will;
• Understand and be able to adopt coaching as a management style.
• Have considered the role of coaching in managing and enhancing the performance of their staff.
• Understand how coaching can be used to help staff to achieve the right mental state to reach their peak performance.
• Understand the link between pressure, stress and peak performance.
• Understand and be able to apply the questioning model of coaching.
• Be able to create the best environment for coaching.
• Understand and be able to apply coaching skills and techniques.
• Identify an initial action plan and put this into practice.
As a result of attending this programme, managers will:
• Improve the performance of individuals through coaching
• Be more proactive in identifying coaching opportunities
• Use coaching regularly as a tool in the management of performance
• Coach effectively and skilfully using a range of models, tools and techniques
